THE STARTING POINT
Balance participation, practice time and manager support in a delivery plan.
Understand participation constraints.
Ask when learners can attend and how work responsibilities affect concentration or availability. Consider distributed teams and shifts where relevant. A delivery plan should state the time needed for practice and review, not just the duration of scheduled sessions.
Set expectations with managers.
Agree which activities require protected time and how learners can catch up after an interruption. Make the participation expectations visible to both learners and managers. Avoid leaving practice as an undefined extra that people must complete without a realistic opportunity to do it.
Check the delivery rhythm.
Review the sequence of sessions, independent work and feedback. Ask participants where the pace or support becomes difficult and adjust the plan where needed. Keep changes connected to the learning objective so a shorter schedule does not silently remove essential practice.
